MID Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Program
Beginning March 1, 2018, MID is using a new NEM 2.0 Solar Application. Please use the new form after this date. All MID customers must submit a NEM 2.0 solar application prior to having their system installed and successfully interconnected. To find out how NEM 2.0 works, please view our NEM 2.0 Fact Sheet. MID Solar PV Net Energy Metering Program- 2.0.
Customers can now apply for the NEM 2 program. Details on the NEM 2 program can be found below. Please refer to the Solar PV Interconnection Handbook - NEM 2.0 on application details and procedures. Only complete hard copy application packages will be accepted – no electronic submittals.
Additional solar PV information including applications, service guides, and related forms can be found at in the links below. If you would like to request your usage history for the past 12 months please fill out the Billing History Release Form located below.

MID must approve projects prior to an interconnection. Please review the solar handbook and solar electric service rules for all program requirements.
Solar PV systems may also be eligible for federal tax credits which are subject to change (see www.irs.gov).

NOTE: Qualifying PV systems must have a minimum peak capacity of at least 1,000 watts (1 kW) and all systems must be customer owned. Programs are applicable for existing MID residential, commercial and agricultural electric accounts. These programs are not applicable to new construction.
PV systems must be installed by licensed California contractors who possess, or employ subcontractors who possess an A, B, C-10 or C-46 license.
